  5. Thank you for your sharing your talent. I greatly appreciate the time that you spent designing these wonderful games and printables. I suggest that you save card stock as well by combining the pages of letters that only have 4 lowercase letters on them in the Thanksgiving pack for the adorable turkeys with uppercase letters that match the lowercase letters.

    7. I love the colorful, printable, and FREE activities! Thank you for all of them! Because we share these with children, I urge you to check the grammar on some of them. For example, on the Rainbow Bear Math Pack, it is stated that the "amount" of bears is to be counted. What is correct is that the "number" of bears is to be counted. Oops!

  24. What seems to be the best cost efficient way of printing an entire pack? Is printing at home better or is having a copier store print the pages for me a better deal?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I believe printing at home is cheaper, when using the "draft" quality under your printer properties. You should test it out on a few pages first to make sure you like it because the quality is less but it also uses a lot less ink. Also please make sure to select "scale to fit" or "fit to print" so that nothing gets cut off.

  28. Thank you for so much for the quality material you have created. I have an almost pre-school granddaughter that can't attend pre-school yet due to her birthdate; however, I believe your ideas and packet will help her be ready when she can enter school. Just one question: were there any instructions as to how to do use the last 3 pages of the Winter Pak?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Virginia, Sorry about the lack of instructions for the last 3 pages of the Winter Pack. I will make sure to add them. Basically they are visual discrimination/matching activities which you can do in a few different ways. 1 - Print 2 copies of the selected page (laminate or print on cardstock). Leave one page intact and cut out the pieces on the second page. Then, have your child match the images by placing the pieces on top of the intact page. (velcro optional) 2 - Print 2 copies (laminate or print on cardstock) and cut out the pieces on both pages. You now have 2 copies of each image. Use them face-down to play a classic memory game, OR face-up to find the matching pairs. I hope this helps!

  115. Hi im looking at the weather packet and im not sure what your supposed to do with the weather graphing pages? Any explanation would be much appreciated. Thanks so much
    Tracy

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks for reaching out. The graphing activity on pages 9 & 10 can be used as follows:

      > Page 10 gets cut out and folded to make a 3D paper cube.

      > The child rolls the cube and whatever image is face-up on the cube, they color in the appropriate box on page 9 (start coloring from the bottom going up and keep going until the graph is completed).

Graphing is a very good early math activity because it gives meaning to numbers and helps kids learn to visually compare quantities.

    1. Hi. Thank you for your message. Here are a few tips that usually help people who have printing trouble:

      1) When you click on the download link and the file opens up in your browser, save it to your computer first. Then, open it in Adobe Reader and print it from there.

      2) Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer.

      3) Sometimes it helps to try a different browser, for example Google Chrome is usually the most compatible with our files.

For more troubleshooting answers, you can check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) here: https://www.totschooling.net/2016/08/faq.html

      I hope this helps!

  137. These are great- love the unicorn pack! I do have one suggestion- when you create resources that involve matching uppercase to lowercase, it can help to use a font where every letter looks completely different. In the unicorn pack, the split pictures where you match letters have a capital I, and a lowercase L that look identical. The only way to distinguish them is by the picture, and if we want our kids to truly generalize content, they should be able to tell which is which without the help of a picture.

    ReplyDelete
  138. You are amazing!!! I love all your work! Thank you so much for all the freebies! You're a life-saver! I am, however, having difficulty getting several Subscriber items to load. All that comes up is the top 3/4 of the title page--no ability to scroll or download. The following are the ones I can't open: Nursery Rhymes both 3- & 4- part, Winter Pack, Halloween Pack, Animal Habitats, and Weather Pack for PreK-K. I had trouble yesterday, so I tried again this morning. The Fall Packet, Thanksgiving Packet, and Christmas Packet all downloaded without a problem, however the first time I tried the Thanksgiving Packet, Google alerted me to a potential virus because its content was not able to complete the scan. I closed out and tried again and it was just fine. (Don't mean to freak you out about the virus part, but I figured you'd rather know about the message than not know!) Hope it's just a glitch or something easy to fix. Thanks again for everything!

  151. Thank you so much for this! Since the school's closing due to the Covid-19 I've been trying to find things for my boys, one is in Kindergarten and my oldest is in special education, and waiting for the school to give us items. I appreciate this so much!
