    1. Hi Mara,

      Thanks for your question. Since this set is designed for very young children (toddlers), each mat has 6 or 9 pictures in order to make it easy enough. There are 24 mats and some of the themes are repeated, for example there is a Food mat and also another Fruit mat. There are several with animals including Pets, Farm Animals and Zoo Animals. What I recommend is creating a binder to store all the mats. Older toddlers would be able to complete the entire binder in one sitting, while younger toddlers might only do a few of the mats. I hope this helps!
