Elf on the Shelf is a fun Christmas tradition at our house, and it can easily be a part of your preschool classroom as well! Get your preschoolers learning about prepositions and positional words with this fun, hands-on activity.

To Prep:

  • Print & laminate all sheets
  • Cut out cards, elf pieces and shelf pieces
To Play:

Kids will choose one card at a time and use the printable elf and shelves to re-create each position. If you are wondering why not just use a real Elf on the Shelf doll in this activity, it's because they are not allowed to be touched. (according to the story)
