Subscriber Questions

  • I subscribed but haven't received a Welcome Email.
First, you will get an email to confirm your subscription. It may take up to 10 minutes to receive this email. Please check your spam folder, promotions folder, etc. After you confirm your subscription, you will receive your Welcome Email with the link to the Subscriber's Page where you can download your subscriber freebies. Please note that some email services have been known to block certain emails, mistaking them for spam. Please add [email protected] to your address book/contacts and this should help get the emails through.

  • I am a current subscriber. How do I access the subscriber's page?
A link to the subscriber's page is included at the bottom of all newsletters. Please open up one of the newsletters and you will see it at the bottom. If you haven't been receiving the newsletter, see below.

  • I am a current subscriber but have not been receiving the weekly newsletter.
Some email services have been known to block certain emails, mistaking them for spam. Please add [email protected] to your address book/contacts and this should help get the emails through. If you have an alternate email address, you can try subscribing again using that address. We do not recommend AOL or Hotmail addresses as these have been known to incorrectly block valid emails from coming through.

  • Is this a free subscription? Do I have to pay anything?
The subscription is 100% free and you are in no way obligated to buy anything. There are hundreds of free activities on this site and we create new ones on a daily basis. As a subscriber you will have access to all the materials, and you will be notified through the weekly newsletter of all the new ones.

General Questions

  • How do I download the files?
The activities that are available for free to everyone can be downloaded via a text link near the bottom of each post. The text link will say something like "Click here to Download your Free Apple Number Puzzles", for example. The file will instantly open up in either Google Drive or Dropbox and you can then save it to your computer or print it from your browser. (We recommend saving it to your computer first, then opening it up in Adobe Reader to print it) All of the subscriber-only freebies can be found on the subscriber's page.

  • My child/children are X years old. What activities are appropriate for their age?
Please keep in mind that all children develop at different rates. You can browse through our toddler, preschool and kindergarten categories to find suggested activities.

  • What is the best way to save ink when printing so many pages?
If printing an entire pack or many activities, we recommend selecting the "draft" quality under your printer properties. You should test it out first with a few pages to make sure you like it because the image quality is lower but it also uses a lot less ink.

Troubleshooting

  • I click on the file link and see a blank page/ there are pages missing/ nothing happens.
Depending on the file size, it may take a long time to fully load on your screen. You can download the file even if it never loads on your screen. Once you click on the file link, there should be a menu at the top with options to print or download. If you click the download button (it looks like an arrow pointing down) you can save it to your computer. Then, open up the file on your computer in Adobe Reader and you'll be able to view the pages and print.

Also, please make sure you are using an updated browser. We usually recommend Google Chrome to those who have problems with the files and this helps resolve most issues.

  • I printed the pack but some pages come out blank or have missing parts.

If you select the "print as image" option it will print exactly as shown in the preview. Here are the steps:

Open up the saved file from your computer, click Print, and the printing option box appears. After selecting your page(s), click on the Advanced button and a new window will open up. Somewhere near the top, check the box that says "Print as image".

  • I printed an activity and some content around the edges was cut off.
Please make sure you select the "Scale to Fit" or "Fit to Print" option when printing so that nothing gets cut off.

  • I see a warning message saying that the file is too large to scan for viruses / My anti-virus program is giving me a warning message.

It seems that the packs which are over 25MB are too large for Google to scan for viruses. However, we assure you there are absolutely no viruses in the files and they are safe to download.

  • I am still having printing issues.

Please make sure to open up all files in Adobe Reader. If you are on a Mac computer, the default PDF reader is NOT Adobe Reader, and this may cause issues. Also, please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer. A lot of issues can be resolved by updating your Adobe Reader software.
