One of my children's favorite books during the Fall is Spookley the Square Pumpkin, also available as a movie. The adorable story of the square-shaped pumpkin inspired me to make this FREE pumpkin shape matching activity to go along with the book or movie.

FREE Pumpkin Shape Matching activity to go along with the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Great activity for the Fall or a pumpkin theme.

The legend of Spookley is a story with a very positive message. Spookley at first feels left out by his unique look, but ends up using this difference to become a hero. Everyone learns that it's OK to be different and that being different is a great thing.

This FREE printable Pumpkin Shape matching activity can be used as a Spookley book or movie related activity. It comes in 3 versions:
  • Match 6 shapes - color
  • Match 8 shapes - color
  • Match 8 shapes - b & w (can use as cut/paste/coloring activity)

This activity is also part of our Fall Learning Pack, available FREE to all email subscribers.

  9. This Spookley the Square Pumpkin shape matching activity is absolutely adorable! I love how you've turned a favorite Halloween story into an interactive learning game — the shape sorting cards are perfect for little hands and the character connection makes it so engaging for toddlers. My preschooler is obsessed with Spookley and this is going to be a huge hit for our October morning circle time. Your printable designs are so colorful and well thought out.

I've been getting into casual browser games lately while my little ones do independent play activities. Head Football has become my go-to — it's this simple physics-based soccer game that's surprisingly addictive for quick breaks. My mom friends and I compete for high scores during our virtual playdate planning sessions, and it's become our little escape while the kids are busy with crafts. The matches are short enough that I never miss a "Mom, look what I made!" moment.

Can't wait to print these and laminate them for our Halloween theme week. Thanks for another fantastic and free resource — your printables are always top quality!
