Barnyard Number Puzzles 1-10

Print and cut out each card. Cut across the dotted lines to form the puzzles. Great for counting and number recognition.

I Can Read Animals On The Farm Book

In this activity children will be able to read about different animals on the farm. It's a super simple read with each page representing a different animal. Kids can also color each animal. Print out and cut out each page, then staple the book together.

Puzzles And Matching Activities

I included a few different types of puzzles like matching the same animal and matching animal halves together. There is also a set of memory cards to play a game of Memory. Place all the cards face down and have the child turn over two at a time. If the cards match, they get to keep them. If they don't match, they get turned back over and turn over two different ones. There are three different matching activities. The first is a color matching page. The object is to match the dogs to their houses. The second is a shape match where they will match the chick to their hens. And the third is a shadow matching game. Cut apart each card and have the child match the animal to it's shadow.

Work Sheets

There are several different supplemental worksheets included. They can sort out images to fit into word family boxes, finish patterns, graph animals, and so much more. My favorite was the color by animal page. We really enjoyed that page.

Writing Practice Pages

I wanted to focus a little on writing this time so I added a few different writing practice pages. I cut the writing practice word strips apart, laminated them, and punched a hole in the corner to create a take along writing activity. The Word Wall cards work well for that as well. You can practice learning and read the words while on the go.
