Syllables Popcorn Sorting Activity

A great way to encourage phonological awareness is to learn to identify and count syllables in words. This fun popcorn-themed sorting activity will keep kids motivated while they clap out the syllables!

Materials Needed:

Print and laminate all pages, or print them on thicker cardstock paper. Cut out the popcorn boxes and all the popcorn kernel pieces. Mix up the pieces and have children clap and count the syllables in each word, then place it with the correct popcorn box.
