Fall-themed Spot the Difference

Fall is here! Fall themed learning activities are SO fun, just like these Fall Spot the Difference scarecrow and owl pictures!
FREE printable Find the Difference pictures with a Fall theme including scarecrows and owls. Great for visual discrimination practice for young kids to enhance literacy and math skills. Fun fall activity that kids will love!


Simply print and laminate, or use a dry-erase pocket like we did, and you have a fun activity for your young kiddos at home, in class or even on-the-go while traveling!

Look if you can spot 8 differences, comparing the two scarecrow pictures, or owl pictures. Some differences are easy to spot, others might be harder. Draw circles around the differences to help keep count. Look for differences in color, shape, orientation etc.


Educational benefits of Spot the Difference activities:


Spot the Difference activities mainly develops visual perception. To simply explain it: Visual perception is how the eye observes and the brain interprets what is seen. Visual perception is an important skill to have when a child starts reading, writing and doing math. He/she needs to see the difference between various letters/numbers. A child that has poor visual perception skills will get confused with letters that look the same, for example "d", "b" or numbers "6" or "9". Doing "spot the difference" activities helps train the eye to see small differences in print, whether it is a picture or letters/numbers.
